Kek Lapis (Layer Cakes 千层蛋糕)

Yeah! Chinese New Year is coming soon..

I used to look forward to the sweet delicacies served during the Lunar New Year in Malaysia.
 I am Malaysian Chinese. I born & growth in a multi culture/languages country and the food is served together with others races food too...like Malay, India...
There are so many chinese served  types of cookies and cakes,they mix malay's cakes and others together during Chinese New Year. Therefore,there are varity of food during  all types of festivals and celebrations in Malaysia.

I wanna challenge Layer cakes! 
now....I finally succeeded!^^  That's wonderful!  GONGXI GONGXI GONGXINI !

印尼千层蛋糕 Traditional Indonesia Lapis(Layer Cake)

‘Kek Lapis’ is a very rich cake with very high contents of eggs and butter. Therefore, it is usually served in very small pieces.

Making Kek Lapis is a very tedious job but it is worth the hard work when you see the beautiful layers of the cake. As this is an expensive cake, we only get to eat it during very special occasion.
